I am currently taking a Masters class in Sport Psychology and here is a big list of motivational sites for you to look at. All the students in the class listed their favorites. ENJOY!!!
http://www.jimabbott.info/ This is a great website for those of us who get true inspiration from others who have had to overcome adversity.
Getmotivation.com This website is not so much sports oriented, but is still a good motivational website. It has a motivation quote for each day. Deals with personal development, self-growth and has alot of motivational articles.
http://www.lombardimovie.com If you are football guy then reading the name of website is enough said. If not you still have to check this out! Lombardimovie.com approximately a 3 minute movie with famous quotes and statements made by Vince Lombardi. It is set to music that sets the tone of his message.(Make sure you have the sound on) and shows images from his days with the Green Bay Packers. It is titled, WHAT IT TAKES TO BE NUMBER 1. It encompasses what winning and how to win is truly about. I recommend showing this video to any athletic team or as a motivational tool in your classroom. Then I would follow it up with a brief discussion on what being intrinsically motivated means. Coach Lombardi’s ability to inspire his players to intrinsically motivate themselves is what made him and his teams so great.
I know that this a weird looking website. This web site contains and article from Coach and Athletic Director, Feb, 1996 by Thomas R. Wilson. The article is about the true motivation of football. It gives specifics on how to give motivational speeches and offers ideas on what to do and not to do as you give a motivational speech. I think that it would be very useful to any coach and could be used in the classroom when you are trying to get your kids excited about a new unit that they are showing little interest in.
www.youtube.com On youtube you can find all kinds of motivational videos, speeches, clips from movies, etc. We use youtube almost every week during our football season the day before our games to get our players into a good mindset. There is one speech called High School Football I Am a Champion. It’s a very good speech, so you may want to check that out.

http://www.persistenceunlimited.com You can know how to exercise your motivation.
